How To Use It
This Key encourages you to analyse your own thinking. It is often used after you have finished a task, and you then reflect upon how well it was done. You could use a 2Q (two very special questions that help you to reflect on your performance):
- What did I do well?
- How could I have improved on what I did?
An example:
You have just finished a 1st draft on a written assignment, and you then use a 2Q to analyse your work.
Q.1. What did I do well?
- I began with an entertaining paragraph, and I ended with a great summary of my ideas.
Q.2. How could I have improved on what I did?
- I need to check some of the grammar. It just doesn’t sound correct in some places.
Why it’s important to use it:
Now and again, you need to stop and reflect on how well your work has been done. This will help you to improve upon what you do the next time you work on a similar task.
Some variations:
To really challenge yourself, learn how to control your Self-Talk (the words that you can say inside your head). Then you can constantly reflect on things all by yourself.
