At some near-future stage, most surfaces that can be exposed to the sun will be used as solar panels. Window glass, window blinds, car roofs spring to mind.The obvious reasoning? Not everyone has a roof that they can use eg in apartments or unit complexes. Here is one example that is built into window blinds.
